If you answered ‘YES’ to any of the above questions, on-line counselling may be for you.

Our Counselling provides unbiased, non-judgmental, non-critical support,
advice, direction, assistance or insight.
Counselling, most often, is conducted in the form of individual
counselling (one-on-one), couple counselling, or group counselling –
with the client and counsellor in the same room – or face-to-face.
However, counselling can also take place on-line…ENTER cyber-counselling
or on-line counselling.
Instead of making an appointment and coming into an office, on-line counselling takes place via the computer – via e-mail, with the client on their end (in their home, office or neighbourhood Starbucks) and the counsellor on their end (in their home or office).
Because client and counsellor do not have to be in the same room for
counselling to take place, there is no need for appointments to be
scheduled or timelines to be kept.
Patience, sensitivity, attention and privacy is given to on-line
counselling just as it would be in face-to-face counselling. Just the
same, rules, roles, boundaries and expectations are outlined between
counsellor and client in on-line counselling, as they would be in
face-to-face counselling.

Because on-line counselling is not immediate (emails may not be received until the next day), if you are in immediate crisis (if you need help NOW), you should call 911 or go to the closest hospital’s emergency department.
On-line counselling is NOT for everyone. At times, face-to-face counselling is necessary, and at times, medical intervention may be required.
On-line counselling is not appropriate for those who are suicidal or for those with extreme eating disorders in need of medical supervision and treatment.
